GRADUATE TEACHING ASSISTANT VIDEO
I was tasked with independently directing, planning and creating a video specifically for the Northern Arizona University Graduate College. The purpose of the video was multifaceted; the basic point was to thank all the Graduate Teaching Assistants for their hard work. The underlying purpose was to create a marketing video for interested Graduate Students and show the university how valuable Graduate Teaching Assistants are to undergraduate students. The project took around 2 months and was created with my personal equipment along with iMovie and YouTube. There were many aspects of the video that required a vigilant, detail oriented drive that my professional focus was able to accomplish.

GRADUATE COLLEGE NEWSLETTER
Part of my responsibility as a Graduate Service assistant was to create and distribute a biweekly newsletter to all graduate students. I consistently researched relevant events, created content such as the Bitmoji character and presentations. In this particular newsletter you will notice that the Graduate College Awards Ceremony is included alongside the 3MRP presentation. I created both virtual ceremonies on Canva as a solution to COVID-19 restrictions.

VIRTUAL AWARDS PRESENTATION
When COVID-19 affected a planned awards ceremony I took it upon myself to find a solution. I adapted and researched ways to make the ceremony virtual then proposed the idea to the deans of the Northern Arizona University Graduate College. They loved the idea and my initiative to create a presentation that applauded all of the award winners.

CONTENT STRATEGY
Achieving a certificate in rhetoric with my B.A. degree has allowed me to strategically and effectively engage with a wide variety of audiences. My minor in business has further developed my understanding of what a website should accomplish quickly in order to appeal to the target audience. One of my class projects focused on creating a content strategy. I chose to create a content strategy for my employer at the time, the NAU Graduate College. The deans of the NAU Graduate College had a meeting with marketing where they would discuss the effectiveness of the Graduate College website, so I thought this project was the perfect opportunity to exhibit my strategic skillset.

TECHNICAL WRITING PROJECTS
Over the course of my Master's curriculum, I have completed a wide variety of technical writing projects. Each new course introduced new, transferable skills. I thoroughly enjoyed the various class projects that were used to fine-tune my writing and professional capabilities. At the end of my degree, I was overjoyed to receive a 4.0 as it solidified my love and capability for professional writing.

THE TUNNELS MAGAZINE PUBLICATION
I obtained an emphasis in creative writing; a certification awarded to my Bachelor’s degree. I’m inspired by creative writing because it has the ability to thread a multitude of styles into one seamless piece of writing. One paragraph can be technical, lyrical, or both but the use of critical thinking and style always attributes to the success of creative pieces. I was inspired by the magnetic force described by physics, my loving fiance, and psychological findings pioneered by Maslow. From the creative strategies I learned throughout my education, I experimented with this creative, nonfiction, braided essay. Ultimately I received a publication in The Tunnels Magazine.
